Sutøya is on a peninsula in the river Hallingdalselva, in natural environments, central at the Fairy tale street (Eventyrveien) RV 7. We have 92 places for trailer with current con-nection and other offers. We have day places, summer, winter and all-year. If you wish,in the winter you can also come to a preheated vehicle, just call in advance.
Sutøya Kro Here we serve: á la carte, little courts, snacks, breakfast, coffe, beer and wine. If You prefer to eat in your cottage or vehicle, feel free to bring your meal. You may also order full or half pension. Groups 25-50 must order in advance, in regard of beds and breakfast.
Activities – What can you undertake here?
We offer free troutfisching out of our 1000 meter beach line. There is a playground with trampolines and baths possibilities in the river for lall ages. That “Sutøyaexpress”. There is also a stable in the vicinity.
Nesbyen has held the norwegian warmth record since 1970 with 35.4 degrees, and is to-day an exciting village, with good trade and service offers, in the middle of the wonderful nature. In the free, one can find berry, as well as multeberry, blue berry, cranberry, and also muschrums. The big mountains and forests, can utilize all-year, rich possibilities for recreational activities, or you the offers in Nesbyen. Here one finds also Hallingdal Folke-museum, with a unique collection of old houses and exciting displays, as well as Gamle Nes (old town) and the meteoritecrater in Garnås. From Nesbyen it is a short trip to E. K. E Langedarg and Vassfaret Björnepark (bear park).
In the winter, we recommend Nesbyen Alpinsenter and Nesfjell with more than 100 km prepared track and a wonderful facilety.
